Lake Superior Circle Tour |

Whenever and wherever riding enthusiasts congregate and discuss the best places to ride, the old standards like the Pacific Coast Highway, Cabot Trail and Deals Gap come up often. I recently started hearing about another one lately that had me intrigued - The Lake Superior Circle Tour.
After booking a week's vacation and a BMW K1600GTL a month in advance, I finally set off from my home in Toronto, Ontario during the first week of July to enjoy some long days on the open road and warm nights by the water.

2013 Kawasaki ZX-6R vs. 2012 Suzuki GSX-R750 vs. 2012 Triumph Daytona 675R - Video |
|

In 2011 we pitted the Ducati 848 EVO, Suzuki GSX-R750 and Triumph Daytona 675R against each other both on the track and street to find the king of the middleweight sportbike category. By the numbers, Suzuki's GSX-R750 emerged the winner in both arenas, but the Triumph tugged at our heartstrings throughout. Oddly, despite having the largest displacement, Ducati's 848 EVO simply couldn't hang with its Japanese and British competition.
When Kawasaki re-introduced the ZX-6R with its 636cc engine this year, suddenly the oddball middleweight sportbike wars are back on, and who better to wage this war than us? The natural competitor to the Kawi is the GSX-R750, the winner of... [Read More]

2013 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Review |
|
Oct 15, 2012 - 1:53 PM - by admin
|
It's hard to believe a decade has gone by since the first 636cc Kawasaki ZX-6R first came to our shores. The beefed up middleweight shook up the category with its displacement advantage over its rivals, and with the 600cc ZX-6RR variant being sold alongside, both racers and street riders were happy. But in 2007, after four years of success, Team Green stuck with tradition and axed the 636 from its lineup to continue with a 599cc version.
However, with many manufacturers focusing on literbike updates lately, the middleweight category has remained relatively stagnant, save for a freshened up Suzuki GSX-R600 in 2011, and, of course, MV Agusta's beautiful F3. Known for shaking... [Read More]

2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Review |

Ninja 300 Forum
Bad news for those who own a motorcycle in the quarter-liter category: the 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300 has officially made your bike obsolete. After feeling the pressure as bikes like the CBR250 started to encroach on the beginner bike market share Kawasaki has virtually dominated for two decades, Team Green saw it fit to elevate the stakes even more by dramatically revamping the venerable Ninja 250 into what is now the 300.
Last week, we covered the details surrounding the Ninja 300 during its U.S. unveil in Times... [Read More]

2013 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Preview |
|
Sep 13, 2012 - 2:01 PM - by admin
|
Making its worldwide debut as part of Kawasaki's "Times Square Takeover" event in the heart of New York City, Team Green officially unveiled the 2013 Ninja ZX-6R, which gets a bump back to 636cc after a six-year absence. While this move is sure to shake up the 600cc supersport racing class, especially as a race-homologated, 600cc ZX-6RR version won't be available this time around, the larger displacement and subsequent torque bump will make the Ninja a more capable street machine and track weapon. In addition, Kawasaki set out to make the new ZX-6R the most technologically advanced Ninja ever.
Those interested in racing a middleweight Kawasaki will still be able to... [Read More]
