I think my ignition is F'ed. I have the same problem only, the key will not go to off or lock positions.

The little latch that engages the stem for the steering lock, is slightly extended, if I put a small amount of pressure on it , the key functions flawlessly, If not, its stuck. I have to used my pocket knife to reach in and push the button/latch/bolt flush in between the cylinder and the stem of the frame.

Idk if the bike was stolen before or just plain worn out but I gotta buy a new one as soon as I can afford it. I know, only a hundred or two, but I'm po'.
