and searched and searched. Found 50 different answers. Fork tube diameters for the top and bottom triples. I don't have a caliper currently mine was stolen and I cant trust my eyes with a tape measure. I won't be able to source one until the end of the day.

The top I am almost sure = 50mm
The bottom triple ??=52mm
41 mm I.D. ??????

After some one with the correct info comes in I will repeatedly bump this thread with ways to ask this question so that anyone googling it will end up here. I have never been more frustrated trying to find an answer. lol. Every thread I find is people answering with this and that and the other, will fit but no numbers. I need numbers or my head will explode.

USD 6's 41mm (09-12 don't know)
RWU 6's 41mm
10's 43mm, again the BPF don't know.

these measurements are the lower slider on USD & upper slider on RWU, it's the measurement most quote on forks.

I'm bored, I'll go take a walk to my bike and measure. Granted, this will be for the 04 zx6rr.

Upper fork, ~160mm, C=Pi(d), =) d=50.93mm


Lower fork, ~130mm =) d=41.38mm


And according to cheapcycleparts, the part number for the 04 6rr fork outer tube (upper: 44008-0001) is the same as for the 03 and 04 zx6r and zx6rr. So the upper diameter is the same.

And while the lower tube is a different part number, that's only because the 2004 zx6rr had a DLC (diamond-like coating) on the lower forks to reduce friction. The part numbers for the four parts that make up the connection (washer, inner and outer seal, ring snap) are the same for the 636s, zx6rs, zx6rrs, however you want to describe them.

At the lower triple the fork is the same circumference and diameter as the first picture I posted, so it's still ~50mm

The fork is thicker at the lower triple.

50 at the top 52 at the bottom. I used a cheap plastic micrometer, I don't have access to my digital micrometer at the moment.
