I just traded up from my starter bike, an '09 250 Ninja to an '04 ZX6R. Picked it up for $3700 with 21000km on it last weekend, and now it is resting in my living room for the winter. So far it has a full Leo Vince exhaust on it, and I'm planning on putting in some angel/demon eyes over the winter and shaving the seat (this bike is WAY taller than the 250).
Anyways, I had a read through the service manual last night and it looks like the 24k km service is coming up soon, and it involves a lot. Does anyone have an idea of how much this will run me?
Thanks!
Ps. sorry for the crappy pic, its the only one I've taken so far

The 21000km/16,000mi service involves the valve inspection on that bike, correct?
I'm assuming it is. I got a quote for my 08 ZX6R a few weeks ago. It's about three hours of shop time, and I forget what exactly it is (I think it's some kind of seal), but my dealer always replaces this thing so they can insure against any problems.
It came out to around $300 to $350, plus tax. That's assuming the valves don't require adjustment. Be advised: I've heard of it costing as much as $500, so definitely shop around.

Ya it does involve the valve inspection, thanks for the info, I'll definitely be sure to shop around!
I had my bike done a year ago and it was aprox $350-400, it didnt need shims everything was still in spec numbers.
They should replace the valve cover gasket at of top engine. Its not a complicated procedure.
I also had mine tuned with the KIT ECU at the same time, and it pumped out 8 more HP with Velocity stacks, and a full system, with BMC filter.
Congrats on the new Kawi, i love the colour.
congrats on the bike I have the same and love it where are you getting the demon/angel eyes from I wanna do it to mine but not sure where to get and how much they cost
