Default KLEEN- Air Induction Mod

Did the KLEEN mod a.k.a. Air Induction System removal last night. Took a few pics along the way, I know its been posted before but here it is again...

here is a link to the microfiche @ ronayers for part name reference
http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/400_05...0&parent=13420

Here is the kit from Ivans Performance. I spoke with Ivan on the phone and he seemed to be a pretty good guy.

Lets get Started... Air box removed, KLEEN system exposed

Another view with the air box removed.

Air Switch Valve, Reed Valve Covers, and Reed Valves removed. Disconnect the vaccum line from the Air Switch Valve but leave it connected to the bike. and dont look at the dirt...lol

Plug the vaccum line that you disconnected from the Air Switch Valve. The Ivans Performance kit uses a screw, to which as you will see later I wrapped the exterior with electrical tape for security.

All done... Really got rid of some clutter, and hopefully decel popping. When re-installing the reed-valves and block off plates make sure you loc-tite the bolts.

On the bottom of the airbox you will need to plug one hole. It is located on the right-hand side (as you were sitting on the bike) of the air box. Ivans kit comes with a plug for this that fits perfectly. I re-installed the drain/resorvoir bottle on the left hand side of the box, as I didnt see a need to remove it and Ivans directions didnt call for it either.

The weather sucks here so I didnt get a chance to run it yet...

im not certain, but judging by the parts diagram it looks like it would also get removed.

Yes it is. Sorry about that. I want to remove that EVAP canister because when I have my race glass on the bike, I have nowhere to mount it to. If these block off plates/KLEEN air mod also remove that EVAP canister, I'll do it.

like i said, im not 100% sure but just judging by the parts diagram it looks like they would. call ivan @ ivans performance he is the one who made the kit, so he would probably know. his # is (845)268-1212
