how hard is to change the battery?

ok people as most of us who live in los angeles know that its been raining crazy lately, so i havent driven my bike in 2 weeks and its been just sitting there. yesterday i try to turn it out and take it to my work but she didnt start. i put the key in and they switch turns on and when i pushed the bottom to turn it on i heard a "click sound" and now not even the switch turns on. so im thinking that maybe is just the battery.hopefully. but i have no idea how to change it. and if u guys could let me know how to do it, that would be great. or do you guys think there is something else on her? thanks a lot!

Yeah it's the battery for sure bro. I live in Oxnard and made sure I poke my bikes ass out the garage to start it haha

To access the batter you need to remove the two plastic pieces on both sides of the seat with the allen heads. That will give you access to the two allen heads the hold the seat down. Pop those off and the battery will be right there staring at you!

I would go get a battery at Walmart or Batteries Plus for the best deal.

If the battery gets empty within 2 weeks, then throw it away and get brand new.
All my bikes have sitted in the garage for 3-4 month in winter time and the bikes start without any problems.

When changing battery, always make sure that you don't mix up "-" and "+" connectors. Always double check it before turning the ignition key.

You'll have to remove or lift the back portion of the tank to remove the battery on an 05-06. Search for the service manual and it'll give you the step by step.
