Hey Nuar, I'd rather post here, I'm sick if getting flamed on Born for stupid crap. we'll have to meet up and ride sometine
Thanks for all the responses guys. I've been thinking about the woodcrafts, I was thinking vortex but hve heard bad things about when people actually test them, they bend or crack off and whats the point of that. I found Keiti sliders that look very similar in construction as the woodcrafts, but I think I'll go with the woodcrafts since there have been so many good reviews on them. I just liked the rails because they look like they offered protection for the fairings as well but I see what you mean about possibly hurting more than helping

I'm pretty sure I saw a lime green zx6 riding through Enfield this past weekend with two other bikes. Any chance it was you?

I vote frame sliders... Ive heard people comment that the race rails have a longer surface area (obviously) and are more likely to catch on something as the bike is sliding and send it tumbling.
+1
Not only that, but you're attaching metal directly to the bike. That's going to transfer energy directly to the frame just like this guy experienced: First crash (race railz tested, dent in frame) pics : Suzuki GSX-R Motorcycle Forums: Gixxer.com. I'm not sure if those ones had the large slider puck like the B2 Industries have. I think the rails would be good for low speeds, but anything else I'd go with sliders.
And the main advantage the Woodcraft sliders have is the removable puck with a side bolt instead of using the main engine bolt. If you do go down and grind down the slider, the pucks are removable separately from the whole slider mount (if that wasn't bent as well) and are easy and cheap to replace, ~$15 iirc.
Frankie - That wasn't me, I haven't taken the bike out other than riding it home. I'm waiting to get it lowered when my buddy can do it for me.
Woncrzy- My bobber is sitting in an upholstry shop that collapsed from the snow we had this winter. I still don't know what condition it is in and they have just started doing the demolition on it, some 2 and a half months after it collapsed. Freakin sucks

I've got racing 905 race rails on my bike. They are pretty good, the only problem is the rear nut is welded to the race rail so if you strip it you're screwed. I over torqued mine a while back and had to send it in to racing 905. Aaron, the owner is a cool guy and was really good about fixing it for free for me. Good costumer service.
I had a set on my 07 GSXR and loved them.. I have them making my a set for my zx10

I had no cut sliders went down had to buy new plastics. So i bought sick innovations race railz they are strong as hell. Plus you dont have to worry about the oil filler like other brands, where you need a low profile one.
