Hey folks former 08 250R owner here had another bike find it's way into my garage yesterday.

Guy and title says it is a 07 and it's supposedly a ZX6R, but I'm getting a little skectchy on this bike.

Backstory:

I posted a BMW FS ad on clist and this guy came and offered to trade for this bike, clean title he said was laid down and he converted it to a "street fighter" and removed all the rest of the plastics, cut the pipe off, and ghetto rigged some useless ass lights on it.

Well I was in a bit of a hurry when he showed up to trade and I just pulled the bike in the shop and ran my errands. Later last night I show up about 7ish to grab the bike and have my ride follow me back home to make sure all is good.

Well soon as I pull it out of the shop I notice it doesn't roll for shit and my friend noted the back tire was flat as phuk. So we aired it up and I got it started although it was cold like a 2 stroke jet ski that hadn't been run all season. I pull out and ride it the 1.5 mi gome and pull in the garage and notice the damn front tire is flat as hell too!!WTF!?!?

This morning I go out to the garage and check the tire and it's fine....
Just aired up the front one and I'm outie, will come back in a few hours to asses the air losses in the front or lack thereof and drop the bike off a few blocks down the road at Ron's Cycles to get a to do list.

Um, I'm not positive, but I think that's a 00-02 600 frame, I'm not versed enough to say if it's a zx6r or whatever other model was made that year.

What I can positively say, is that is in no way a 03 or up zx6r. From 03 and up the air intake always goes right in the middle of the front of the frame, not offset with the big circular hole that yours has.

Go take that back.

Looks like an '07 ZZR600 to me which formerly was a ZX6R back in 2000-2002.

Check if the rims are bent (loss of air over night) and just slap on a new set of tires.

that's definitely a J model (00-02 ZX6R, 05-08 ZZR600)

Is this thing worth me sinking a grand into? I'm worried something is bent like forks,subframe, swing arm, etc. Plastics are fairly cheap...

Don't forget about Chain, Sprockets, Brake fluid, Brake pads, Oil change, Maybe clutch.

Subframe is easy to bent back, Swing arm is cheap to get (maybe 200 shipped). Watch for warped rotors and Check with a straight bar if the forks are bent or not.

Then make a decision if it's all worth it.

If you need to take a fightered bike to the dealer for repairs, you're already out of your league $$$ wise.
They're going to stick it up your ass & break it off.

I doubt that since the frame print and the sticker match the title. The sticker says the build date is 08/06 and it is a J model ZZR600.

And I don't need the dealer to do all my work, maybe none at all. I really am just concerned with buying a set of plastics and parts and then find out something is bent that costs a buttload of cash. I only want to sink a grand into this bike to bring it back from state it is to stock.
