Need to lower brake lever on 2005 ZX-6R due to hand numbness

Hi,

I just did my first track day on my new 2005 ZX-6RR and had a blast. Awesome machine. The only problem was my right hand goes numb after a while. I need to lower the brake lever to match the angle with my arm. Unfortunately I can't get it low enough with the banjo bolt / lower part of the master cylinder hitting the fork. Would changing the master cylinder do the trick? Any suggestions on which one to get?

I happen to not like the feel of the front brakes. They're too mushy and had planned on looking into a master cylinder rebuild or caliper change anyway.

The ZX-6RR brake components are the same as the 6R or 636. I'd appreciate any suggestions thanks!!

Fairly common to switch to the 07+ zx6r but they're essentially the same as far as how they're built. You could always slide the grip and master cylinder out slightly.

There's also the chance your form could need some adjustment. It might be worth looking into that as well. Ask around the trackday for someone to watch you.
