we know 07/08 oil leak problem but has anyone figured out why is it always left side?

It's a casting flaw that causes the failure, I just assumed it was closer to the left side then the right side of the front of the cylinder bank and the air flow pushes it out the side vent.

The serious question is do you honestly have nothing better to worry about?

I would not know as I don't have one of those bikes.
But it seem to me its probably because your bike sets on the side-stand & lets the oil pool-up on that side.
