Ok I know this has been discussed before but when I took my seat off I couldn't relate to the pictures. Can someone confirm the actual procedure and where the wires are located. Which wire go get spliced. Pictures would also be extremelly helpful. And please, anything related to the jumper mod should be posted here (questions, concerns, pictures, etc...) Thanks in advance for all the contributions

It is exactly the same there isn't anything done different on that bike or the 07...
Just remove side plastics to take off front seat.
Remove both seat bolts and remove seat.
Tucked under the seat on the brake side of the bike there is a 4 pin connector thats just capped.
Jump the green/green wire and the black/yellow wires across with 16 gauge wire and put cap on.
Make sure cap locks back on.
Install your seat and plastics and enjoy the extra ponies....

I own 2 07's one with and one without. Riding beside my brother we are dead even till we hit 10k-11k rpms then ill just walk away from him. He is also 15lbs lighter than I am.

I got a question, anyone know where you can get one of the actual wires for this jumper?? I wanna replace my crappy wire with the real deal!? I know a guy on the forums has them and will ship em to you for a small price or free, but I don't remember who...?

I am using an insulated paper clip. The ends have no insulation and the mod works as I have proven it with a dyno.

I got some crimpers from an auto part store and it comes with these caps you put the wires in once you cut them. You just crimp them down and plug the two wires together. If you dont want the mod just unplug them. Why waste money on special wires when you can do it yourself for a few bucks. Plus who cares what it looks like, the wires are under the seat. how often do you look in there?

I talked with my dealer about the jumper at Anderson powersports. They knew nothing about it. So when I get time they offered me a free dyno run just for me to show them the difference.

QUIT MAKING IT SO DIFFICULT. JUST DO IT... IT'S SO EASY, YOU HAVE TO BE RETARDED NOT TO FIGURE IT OUT! BRAND NEW OR NOT, JUST DO IT....................................GET A PIECE OF SPEAKER WIRE, HELL JUST CUT THE TWO WIRES BELOW THE ACTUAL CONNECTOR, STRIP EM, TWIST EM, AND TAPE EM. DONE, FORGET ABOUT IT.

Calm down this is a place of learning if i wasnt mechanically inclined i would a little reluctant to destroy my 9K+ bike that runs fine. if you are afraid of voiding your warranty or hurting your bike you can just lie to people and say you did it. whos gonna check???

Ok here is the something interesting to think about... After I talked more with Anderson Powersports (to schedule a dyno session) I asked if this mod will void my warranty. He said "If something should happen to the wiring or ecm, remove the jumper and bring it in. If the warning light flashes, Remove the jumper and bring it in. Other than that we would have no reason to remove the cap on the harness to see it during basic service checks and oil changes."

Yeah I just did this yesterday, it took a grand total of maybe 15 minutes, and that was just cause I double and triple checked my work.
I thought it felt stronger on top for sure, before when I would get up 12-14K it would almost feel like a soft rev limiter and really drop off in power. Now it feels like it pulls all the way to red line. Definitely worth the effort. It is just so easy. Just do it.
