i dont see how, other than fly-by-wire, the ecu has anything to do with engine vraking.. short of closing off the secondaries as well. but thats void if the flies are removed and DEFINITELY void if the throttle plates are cable driven. i'm gonna call BS on engine braking on those bikes. those with full fly-by-wire ( newer yamahas) and intact secondaries i can see modifying the positional values to close the flies faster for more vacuum.. then again, with more compression you'll see more engine braking over anything that can be opened or closed with crafty tuning...

Before you send it in they want to know pretty much everything you've done performance wise to the engine and fuel management. Type of slip on, aftermarket air filter, etc. etc. I believe I read that you can gain 6-12 HP if you have 09-12 zx6r. That's the only year I read up on because that's my bike. Hope that helped
Flashing the ECU can adjust engine braking and ignition timing and most of the same features as a KIT ECU. Most flashing places advertise a 10% gain but I'm not so sure about that as the zx6r isn't heavily restricted from the factory.

I believe it's possible but they won't have my bike there to put on a dyno, they can advertise it but unless its on a dyno in front of them they'll never get that map perfect. And for $400 it'd better be perfect. I'm at 115 now but it's unrealistic that I'd be much higher

idk for sure... but it's worth a shot. i should have mine back in a week or so. custom converted bazzaz map flashed onto my stock ecu. dumped the full setup and went flash and annitori.
