Was wandering if anyone has looked into or have it on their bike already with the ECUnleash mod. Thinking about doing it but with the cost close to 500 I want to make sure it's worth every penny.
i'm in the process of getting a custom ECU reflash through a buddy of mine's race shop. not only will he take your custom made pc3/pc5/bazzaz map and convert it, he'll smooth it, modify the throttle positions that you didn't used to have access to, change the settings for engine braking and everything. the supersport they're running in AMA this season pulls on the straights on stock ecu'ed built-motor'ed bikes. i've seen it.
my bazzaz setup - zfi and afm cost me ~$600 new. this reflash will allow me to get rid of this (also i'll lose the autotune feature, but i'm fine with that), and it's ~$100, depending on how long it takes to input/convert your current map.
www.bauceracing.com. tell em agg sent ya, if you call on em. even to chat about what they can do.
edit: btw, me and bauce are both running r6 bikes, so it might be slightly different for you.

Hey man, you are saying that he does a reflash for $100? That is absurdly cheap if true! The link is dead though, can you post another way to contact him?
I saw a stock motored GSXR 1000 a couple weeks ago that dyno'd at 178 RWHP on pump gas with a Wallrich Racing reflash on the stock ecu. Local fast guy with an S1000RR said it was faster than his bike. For $400 that's potentially a good way to make big power.

scariest bike i've ever ridden was a worked over gixxer 1000. i have NEVER ridden a bike capable of 5TH gear roll-on wheelies at 145mph.
i shat brix.
it really depends on how neutered the stock ECU is. some are WAY snipped and the injector pulsewidths are so trimmed back it's surprising the bike runs at all when you look at the dwell on a scope or after its been charted out. most bikes benefit a ton from ecu flashing.. its not new stuff. it all kinda got started about 8 or so years ago by a guy 9 an embedded electronics engineer) who goes by the name "ridgerunner" on various boards. he hacked his ZX12R A1 ECU and started bumping fuel, timing and rev limits. went on to busas and other bikes. now he runs a small site that goes across many types of bikes.. but now having the potential of the stock ecu realized, theres a ton of guys cashing in on the stock shit's ability to be flashed.. some bikes, as stated, are more prone to open up than others are..
