Just purchased a header from MJS to get rid of the cat converter on my 2012 zx6R,

the manual calls for remvoing the radiator, my question is it possible to remove and replace the header without removing the radiator????

Has anyone have experience with this install???

You'd only have to remove it for clearance- when I replaced mine with ARROW headers- I never did(take off rad)

And sorry but you got ripped off, a hammer and screw driver
Or drill, you coulda removed your own cat in 10 min

and painted it high heat black yourself

Possibly. You'll have to remove the radiator mounting fasteners and try to move it out of the way enough to get the old headers out and new one in.

I ended up removing both lower fairings, and just disconnected the lower radiator mounting bracket to swing the rad back a bit. I had to use an assortment of wrenches , ratchets and adapters to get to the tricky areas but It can be done though.

You can but it makes 3 times the work.. Drain the radiator and refill it will save you a lot of cussing.
