Hello fellow riders, I just got a 2004 Kawasaki z750, my first naked and my first Kawasaki, so far it's great , but I noticed that the mirrors are pretty much useless , specially if I have to merge lanes,so I was wondering if the mirrors of a newer z750 will work on the 2004? or they fall short too? and if so, do you guys and gals know if there's some that will work, thanks and cheers!!!!:Bike:
well im not really sure if the newer one would fit onto the 2004 z750, from what i saw, the 2004 z750 mirrors r about the same as the newer one except for the mirror shape is a little updated on the newer one, i have a 2010 z750, and they work GREAT, BUT! they, in my opinion, are bit ugly, instead, what i did is i got a pair of the new ducati monster rear mirrors for my z750, looks alot better, and they work great cuz they r shaped a bit wider, for me, works fine for merging lanes.
hey sorry for the late reply, those mirrors are from ducati monster, all of the monsters PLUS the ducati streetfighter use the same mirror.
but one thing is that the hole on the mirrors for the bolt is too small for my z750, i had to drill it, making the hole a lil bigger to fit onto my bike.
I have a Z750S which has more of a fairing that allows better mirrors...
for your mirror problem the Ducati moster mirrors look like a good choice, I know alot of others on the diff Z forums are using the bar end mirrors.
Thanks Guys, I got a pair from evilbay and they work better than the old ones yet still a bit short but I guess that how these bikes are designed, I'm going to give it a try to see how they feel, I have a pair of mirror risers so I could extend them a bit more, they are bulky though
i have seen a pair on ebay for really good price, its from a taiwanese company, they can be folded as well when needed, they look quite amazing and well made
most importantly, they r VERY reasonably priced
im not sure about your zed, i got the 2010 z750 in Asia and my bar is 7/8in which fits those mirrors, for sizing u should ask someone with the same bike.
anyhow, i had to cut the ends of the bar off to take out the weights welded inside the bar in order to fit some bar end mirrors on cuz i was too cheap to buy a new bar lol. i used a tube cutter to do that.
if u DO need to cut the bar and take weight out, and u have trouble, i think i can help, cuz i remember it wasnt exactly easy to do that
Not quite the same breed. I'm a time served apprentice in the aerospace manufacturing industry specializing in surface treatment and metal finishing. Plus working on cars is mechanics rather than engineering
