Default planning a visit to calgary

hello, i am a kawasaki rider from australia. i'm planning to visit family in calgary next year. would love to spend 10-14 days a round trip from calgary.

have already looked at rentals, and am comfortable with the range and pricing. now all i need is some local knowledge on where the good rides, bed and breakfasts and camping sites and such are so i can start planning.

also timing is flexible as i am planning well in advance, (need to start putting some money aside), but i am thinking june/july next year. any information about must see rallies/events will also be welcome. as i said timing is flexible and i can plan around such events.

any information/advice that will help me plan the trip is welcome.

Well defiantly hit banff, kanaskis and bearspaw. I highly recommend the circle going through radium, golden, banff and back to calgary.

Going out crowchild goes to cochrane which is awesome. My recommendation is to pick a road, get familiar with the towns and city out here, ditch the map and ride. Pretty much every road going towards the mountains and into the mountains is awesome and exciting.

You can pretty much pitch a tent anywhere in the mountains, lots of areas, can't really help you on where to look, but they're everywhere. You can look up for rallies and events at some of our local shops. Walt healy, bow cycle, etc. Just search and you'll find tons of motorcycle shops here that have stuff going on.
