took the 636 to the track yesterday
hey guys i took my bike last night to 1/8 mile track here where i normaly run at, temps was in the low 70's and the track felt pretty good once some cars layed some rubber down, im pretty excited to finally put the 636 in the 6's swb with mods i have done to the bike in my signature, riders weight 220 pounds, here's the run down on the 3 passes i made, let me no what you think
run no#1.
1.78 60ft
4.736 330ft
6.653 594ft
7.080 1/8 @ 103mph
run no#2.
1.74 60ft
4.699 330ft
6.619 594ft
7.043 1/8 @ 104mph
run no#3.
1.71 60ft
4.691 330ft
6.573 594ft
6.976 1/8 @ 105mph

Congratulations man!!! You reached your goal! That pass would have put you in the mid 10.8's. Good job brotha!

Thx man ! now all i need to do is work on that 60 because i was so used to the extensions and now im havin to work that clutch hand alot more, my next goal is to be in the mid 1.6's at the 60ft i think its possible with the bike being swb, what do you think ?

Thx Dean ! the 7.0's passes i was launchin at 8rpm and last pass i got them rpms set at 10k prestage that clutch and let her rip buddy and i knew the pass felt good so i roll around the ticket shack and wham a 6.9 but i really was surprised in my mph ive never ran anything better than 103mph in the 1/8 even with the extensions, do you know what might have changed that ?

Nice! It's hard to pinpoint any one mod that might have helped your mph without first off comparing weather conditions for your previous best run and your 6.9 pass. Maybe your new exhaust,gearing changes, chain tension, etc... Could just be you getting to WOT quicker and improving on your clutch hand. Keep doing what your doing as it seems to be working well. Just wait for some cooler, crisper air and you will be really rockin'.

yea i will be headin back to the track to improve on my 60 & elapse time soon but like you mention i think the exhaust and the cooler temps compared to last time i was at the track played a major benefit

No doubt it'll go 1.6's, its been done many times before. Keep up the good work.

congrats, it was a long time in the making. feels good to reach a goal doesnt it? now its time to set the bar a little higher. seeing your 330 was the same on the last 2 runs i would have to say maybe your shift points were a little diffrent and picked up the mph a little.
