Question for poster:
Did you caulk all around the ccfl or did you just "dab" a couple spots? Did you also use the same caulk to fit the headlights back together or does the original adhesive come back to life when you heat it?
thx

i just reheated mine and used the original adhesive to put them back together. I used caulk around the whole light. and then some on the hole I drilled to get the wires out of the headlight. I drilled a small hole and cut the plug off and then put it back together on the other side.

I caulked around the entire CCFL. I felt it was much more secure that way. I didn't use any caulk to fit the lights back together, just reheat it. If you caulked the headlight to fit it back together, it may not line up right.
Also, unlike the above poster, I didn't drill a hole to put the wire through, I just layed it under the rubber round pieces that cover the holes.
Thusly:

Also, I finally wired the switch, so it looks flush and not just hanging there. I'll have pics tommorow.

I am a little confused as far as the wiring... as I'm not very "electrically" inclined.
I understand linking the left and right CCFL's to the inverter, and the toggle switch connects to the inverter as well.
1. How do you "Plug to Bike"? Are you hooking it straight up to the + and - on the battery?
Sorry for the dumb questions, I just want to make sure I'm doing this right!!

This is a great write up and very informational. I have a silver zzr600, and I know in my state blue or red up front won't fly with the cops. I want to do halo/angel eyes, but I ride with high beams on in the day so I don't think the white will work. I was thinking, what if I rocked a black ccfl as halos instead. What do you guys think?
