Air jet for zx6r carbs questions

The jet that screws into carburetor bodies just below the velocity stacks. Is that an air jet? I know the main jet is in the bowl of carburetor along with pilot jet. Just need to know if that is in fact an air jet and if not what is it and what's its purpose. Please any help would be appreciated.

Yes it's the air jet. Don't bother with it. It doesn't even get changed with a jet kit. Why the interest?
