Well, I am going to post some pics that I took while biking this year :)

I'll probably end up sorting them and keeping it updated... I want to document a lot of my riding and friends from now on.

Anyways:

May 9, 2010
I think this was my inaugural Miette road ride of the year.

On the way there... and I either have a good looking bike, or a good looking mountain. Oh well. fuck you, blackberry.

This is a pullout on one of my favorite turns on the road.

Got my sliders on. Whatever... lol.

July 21, 2010
The day that changed my life, and made me want to document this shit. I only took 1 pic from this trip.

The turn that claimed the life of my best friend. RIP Trev.

Driving back to BC to pick up our bikes, I figured I would take pictures of what we went through. My phone actually broke on the 21st, and it died forever before I got to the bikes, but I got a couple of the ugly scenery along the way:

Mt. Robson:

Clearwater, BC: Trev and I stopped for some wicked deli sandwiches and ate them here:

Heloooooo Kelowna!

The "Epic Jasper... err, Banff Monsoon Ride"

Friends planned a quick jaunt down to Banff and back. Should be back in time for supper... LOL. 1000+km and the worst rain I have ever rode in. For hours! I will get pics off of facebook to fill the rest of this in.

First fuel stop... but where are we going?

Next fuel stop, and I think the last time we saw the sun that day...

But where the fuck are we going? Someone get the map again!!!

I thought it wasn't supposed to rain today?

2 more hours of solid rain, and we arrived at our lunch stop.

We are all completely soaked. I poured water out of my boots. But we're smiling!

Long, cold, dark, wet ride home...

Fuggin!

Friends and I geared up for our second long group ride. Ths one went from Edmonton to Drumheller and back, and was a 1050km day on this uncomfortable fuck of a machine.

6am breakfast!

And this time, having not learned from the last ride, I brought no tail bag and no rain gear:

But we made it to Drumheller, and found a giant Tyrannosaurus!

So pics were taken.

Stopped here for a good lunch. and took over the parking lot! (Buddy had an actual camera, so 1 good pic):

And a couple more shitty phone pics, but I thought they looked cool...

I think it was around 8pm here... and we had like 300+km to get home. Got home at 2am!

September 26, 2010

Santa's Anonymous Charity Toy Run

We made it to the park - and found the 3 best bikes in the lot:

But all of these fuggin QWOPs followed us...

Needless to say, it was a tad hectic...

November 5, 2010
We made it into November  so we thought a final little ride to tip our hats to the season was in order.

A friend of mine took these pics of my bike tonight. Look pretty good!

I think that's it for now... I will add more pics as I come across them. Thanks for looking!

Love,

slev.

Spring has sprung!

And with it, I have started to lose my mind. After seeing many pics of other people's bikes on KF, I realize that I like the look of gloss black lower fairings (or is it that I hate the cheap, flat black plastic look of the stock ones?).

Regardless, I have begun hitting mine with some spraypaint, and shockingly enough, they the project is looking pretty good overall.

Here's a couple "in progress" pics - I will try to have it back together tonight!

I also went ahead and am trying to copy the look that the 09 10R's have, and that is gloss black on the "cleavage" between the headlights:

Definitely not a perfect job, but it can't look worse than it did before... maybe it will even look better?

Edit: Oh yeah, much. I will get some pics of the fairings outside tomorrow, but the cleavage looks boss:

Back together...

... but I am still in Canada.

Which means the weather idiots are calling for 15-25cm of snow to fall tonight. FML!

May 1, 2011
Warm days are afoot.

!

So I met up with another KF member today for a ride on a road I have not ridden yet. It's only around 50km from my place, which is not all that bad, considering I live in the city now. Was nice to be able to lean into some turns again!

I need a real camera :(. The buffalo were right beside the bikes when we stopped... close enough for me to be a bit leary of them - I didn't feel like getting trampled today!

May 10, 2011
Awesome weather for the last couple days, and more to come!

Was going to meet a friend today, when this happened:

Not bad for a set of sport-touring tires.

May 12, 2011
Went and grabbed a coffee, then went down to a park by the river. Even had a nap down there in the grass with the geese.

Such a hard day at the office... :

I wanted a way to "mount" my phone on the bike, so I could use it's GPS. I was too poor for a real mount, and I wanted something removable, so I put some on there and some on the back of one of those big Otterbox cases.

Nice pics - O Canada! beautiful scenery!

And nice bike - I almost bought it last month in that colour, 7,800 for it with 10,000 km

Pussied out though I'm really regretting it after seeing your bike in
I really like this orange. Only downside is that I find most pictures don't do it justice.

I want to buy a real camera soon so I can some good pics of everything.

i wish i had some nice scenery like that! nice pics!
Thanks man. Looking to get more/better ones this year

I love the look of the new (well, I think they were 09's) gixxers that came in the same orange. Looked awesome with the black that they have.

And that's kind of what happened to me. I bought it in Sept of 09 because the deal was "too good to pass up!"... But it also wasn't cheap to just be buying (almost on a whim). But oh well lol.

Thanks man. The nice mountains are about 3 hours away from where I moved to now... so that sucks a bit... but hopefully in the next year or so I will be moving to even greener pastures :)

Yeah they are a pretty good group of people I am with, all out to just enjoy the ride :)

Well, it snowed like 2 weeks ago, just cleared up enough so I have been out for the last couple days. Tomorrow is supposed to be even nicer so I'll try to remember to grab some pics.

Fuggin riding is tiring when you're not used to it... that's for sure. Reoccurring forearm injury (hairline fracture) is hurting too, yay lol
