Hey man, how far are you from Chapman? I'm picking up the 250r this tuesday. Unless it's giving me trouble I'll give it probably a month before I do the service. So you think I can do everything but a carb sync? I get how I could do the inspections on most stuff. and oil change and air filter appears easy enough. Brake fluid's too but I think the manual actually says I should be good until 20k. I had some problems cold starting, I believe I sort of killed the battery. On full choke it revved up to 5-6k before I tried to back off and then it kept dying. I would barely move the choke. I got it going on 1kRPMs, gave it throttle stupidly, and the increase in air pressure killed it. At that point I gave up because I battery appeared to need charging. Should trying to start it up 10 or so times almost kill the battery? All the lights worked. Owner hasn't driven it 2-4 weeks I believe and changed the oil 4 months ago.
