How do you lock up your dirt bike? Short story, just picked up the dirt bike and currently live in an apt building. My bike is fine as it has a key, but the dirt bike is kick start. How would you recommend I keep it safe? And sticking it in the apt isn't a viable option yet.

Chain it to something stationary, make 'em work for it.

Obviously get a chain, but if you want more than that, or can't afford to go buy a chain and lock right now, turn the fuel petcock to "off". Disconnect the wire that feeds your sparkplug, anything you can do to keep some little 16y/o dirtbag (like I used to be) from gripping up your bike for a ride. Little things like that won't help if you're visited by a professional, but a professional, isn't gonna want your dirtbike anyway
Is this really a thread? Put a fucking cable/chain and lock on it. /thread.
Yes there is a thread, I was curious if there was an alternative that I wasn't thinking about.

depending on what year it is, you could use a caliper lock?
that wont stop someone from lifting it into a truck and jack it, but atleast no one could push it away lol.
id do a combination of both, chain it and use a caliper lock.

Make sure to get a chain/lock that is resistant to bolt cutters or a hack saw.
