Did you drop your first bike?!
yeah so im looking at used 250's and bikes with the plastics messed up are going for a LOT cheaper.
i mean its going to be my first bike and if i'm definitely going to drop it and mess it up the same way some of these bikes have been damaged, then i don't see a need to pay more for a 'mint' condition bike
so have you dropped your first bike? if so, how bad was it? should i just go for a cosmetically damaged first bike?

Yup, dropped my 86 Nighthawk 450 on a tight uturn. Also dropped it and slid into a car when I was really learning (probably the first day I had it).
Bike did not run well when I sold it

not so much dropped, but did a "superman" right over the handlebars of my used yellow ninja 250 at around 30 mph, and as i soared into a grassy median, my bike slammed into the curb. chipped the front fender, scratched up the lower fairings. Got a used black fender off ebay ($12), bought some color rite matched paint in a rattle can ($20) and put another 6K miles on her. sold it and bought another used bike, putting close to 20K miles on this one. i don't think i'll ever buy a "new" bike.

dropped every bike I've owned, never was riding one though when I dropped them, either working on them , moving them in the garage or washing them, and I think it makes you feel even more like a tool to do it that way

Dropped my first bike, 03 Katana, 3 times total before I sold it. Definitely do NOT buy a brand new bike for your first ride. Unless of course you have tons of money...

Yup, dropped about three times. One bad one.
Definitely get one that's messed up, if you're even halfway serious about riding this will be your first bike, and not your last bike.
Save the nice bike for your second or third. (although I've never bought new, and won't for a while. If ever)
