Default New to 250R
I am hopping over from the 500 world today. I bought a 2012 250R today. I know, why would anyone downgrade...

I love speed, but i love saving money on fuel more...lol.

Anyway, i am thoroughly impressed with my little ninja. It is a peppy little thing that seems to love the high RPMs. I cant wait to see what kind of mpgs i will be looking at. I look forward to the shift and getting to learn about this machine.

congrats on the new purchase. The 250 is a great little bike, cheap on gas, insurance and registration as well. My roommate still has a blast on his, even after 4 years. It's awesome in the twisties too.

Average 46 on my first fill. I noticed that the fuel gauge is off my quite a bit. I had an eighth of a tank left and only put on 3.5 gallons in...had at least another half gallon of safe traveling. Looks like 250 miles is the magic number to start looking for fuel.

Last fill was about 58 and mostly highway now...just passed the first 1k miles.

Removed snorkel an added shimmed the needles...we'll see how much this affects fuel economy soon...
