Hi everyone okay today I had someone a mechanic come by to buy my bike. Sadly he did not buy the bike because he realized and so did i that on my bike there was a starter gear tied onto underneath my display console. Does anyone know what that can mean?
I'd be surprised if anyone knew what this meant.

Someone took it out and zip tied it under the gauges for whatever reason. Or someone knew what the problem was and for some dumbass reason zip tied the replacement part there?

A starter idler gear? It probably means what I have been telling you all along. The starter isn't engaging anything(because there's nothing there to engage)
You should be able to bump start it. Why haven't you done this yet? Just fucking bump it off every time you want to ride or fix it.
I'll give you $100 for the bike.
yes, im pretty sure thats what i said from the beginning.
and, what kind of mechanic was that?
also, this has an easy solution. im amazed its not fixed yet.
edit: and the part was included with the bike?
wheres my
Hi everyone well I took the bike to a registered mechanic who has many years of experience in sports bikes. It turns out that my bike is locked or has an Fd up motor which is repairable. I can either by a new motor or sell bike as is. The mechanic did a manual crank by hand but motor locked up still afterward. Thanks everyone for your time to help me out with this problem, now I’m going to try and sell bike as is for parts or to be rebuilt.

When I mean he's a registered mechanic, I mean he actually went to school and became a state certified mechanic unlike the other person I went to who was not a mechanic. Also no on the $100 lol but thanks. The mechanic said that he would crank it and once the bike started rolling it would lock up again. Also that the pistons were shot. : (
