Default just joined the kawasaki family

I just bought my first bike. It's a 2009 650r. Though I hope to riding in a few days b/c I just dropped it off to get the recall done.

MSF Course: nope..... I do plan on taking a experianced rider course in the spring.

Gear: Frank Thomas Tex Jacket with armor, Kevlar Pants with knee armor, Full Face Raider Helmet, and waiting to pick up a nice pair of boots.

Recall: Recall 2009/2010 Ninja 650r thats the thread for it. Has to do with the rear brake plate getting in the way when applying the rear brake. Kawisaki redesigned the plate.

With a 650 as your first bike - not a good idea - you should make the MSF course a priority. The experienced rider course is less useful than the basic course. It's a usefull follow-on, but not a substitute.

I hope the gear includes gloves.

Forgot about the brake pedal issue. Easily fixed by a belt with a hammer.
