Just checking in
Hi all.
I'm from San Diego. Been riding for awhile, but just got my first Kawi a few months ago. She's a 2000 ZX7R with 20,000 miles. It was flat black when I bought because the previous owner laid it down in some moss doing about 25mph; I painted it Orange Crush pearl shortly after bringing her home. The previous owner is a friend and I have helped him do a lot of the maintenance, so when he bought a new ZX10, I decided to buy his ZX7R.
He and I did a 500 mile trip a couple of months ago to Angeles Crest highway and Big Bear, Ca. We make the trip abut once a year, but this was the first time I had ever done it on a sport bike. Previous trips had been done my Harley. (i know, BOOOO!) I was so much fun tearing up the twisties on an honest sport bike.
Anyways, I am doing some maintenance items and ran across some issues that I wanted to ask about, and since rules are rules, I'm posting here first.
