Just wanted to throw out a post to say hi to everybody over here at kawiforums. Im a member of several other kawasaki forums as well as an active member on stuntride.com,gixxer.com,and s10forums.com. Ive been riding since 2007 and was hooked from day 1. I went through a very serious accident in july of 2011 and ended up with a shattered kneecap,plates in my left hand,and plates for both bones in my right arm.My bones in my right arm stabbed through my skin on the top of my arm,so i have a 3x3 skin graft covering the hole.Im not a new rider,i know my limits... everybody has bad days. Im still here,alive,and riding. During my accident i was on an 05 gsxr i built from the frame up but ever since i have been on kawasaki. i currently own an 06 zx6r anniversary edition(minty),an 07 zx6r (parting out),an 08 zx6r(stunt ride with reinforced frame),and just today picked up my first 1000 ive ever owned, a 2005 zx10. I have been building/fixing/buying/selling bikes/quads etc for a couple years and thats just what i do.Its winter so time to stock up
Ill be lingering around forums a bit, i already found some parts that i searched tons of other sites for so im excited about being here with more kawasaki riders!
No fairings for sale at the moment...i have a brand new set of hotbodies racing fairings for 07/08 but i think im gonna use them.I just listed a bunch of the parts on ebay but i also have some big parts that arent listed such as rims,motor,frames (no titles for sale).
Thanks!! I have a ton of pictures from my wreck i should post up for you guys. I won 1st place in the last contest they ran on stuntride for the worst injuries and i have been up on icons website twice, once with my bike and in my wheelchair and the second was pictures of me and my icon tattoos. I owe my life to them,if i wouldnt have been wearing my helmet i 100% believe i would be dead. I dont even remember leaving the house the day of my accident,i dont remember anything, just waking up in the hospital 2 days later and spending the next 2 weeks being put in and out of surgery and tortured by doctors. I was wearing helmet,jacket,gloves... my jacket is ripped into shreds,and was cut off of me...there is a hole where my arm bones came through (out of my skin and through my jacket),my helmet was crushed.The very front of my face looked like it took the first hit,on the lower front (infront of your mouth) the fiberglass is smashed so bad you can stick your fingers through it.That would have been my face...
If you end up posting pics, may I suggest making it a thread of its own? Could (slightly doubt it) sway some peoples minds into wearing gear.
I will for sure. If it convinces just 1 person to gear up it was worth while.First thing i did once i picked up another bike was ran out and bought all new gear from head to toe, helmet,jacket,gloves,pants,boots.... and i dont ride without that shit. My jacket saved me a TON of skin for sure,the only major road rash i got was on my lower back where my jacket rode up on me while i was sliding because it was too big.I have a nice big like 6x6 patch of scar above my asscrack which was raw the entire time i was stuck in a bed/wheelchair. awesome
