Hello fellow riders I own a 2012 ninja 250. I've been thinking of upgrading to a bigger bike next year and am really keen on a Honda 600rr or a Kawi ZX-6R. Anyone have any thoughts?

You need to have done about 10,000 miles on the 250 to be ready for a 600ss bike if you'red going to ride it well as well as safely.

If you've got that mileage, go ahead. If you haven't, keep the 250 a bit longer.

What years are you looking at? 2009 or before?
The older the cheaper but technology hasnt changed much (except for traction control on the 2013 ZX6R or power modes on the 2008+ gixxers).

06 kawis and gixxers are still top notch tech IMO.

Are you fixated on SS bikes or would you like naked or half faired too like the Ninja650?

after riding several different makes/models of super sports on the street, i can't figure out why anyone would want to use one as just a street bike.

my advice: you're better off sticking with the 250 if you're just street riding. if you get the 600, you should make arrangements to ride it on a race track at LEAST once. otherwise, it's just a waste of a bike...

Nobody really believes that until they've had a ss bike on the street and found out that it isn't particularly good. Best to buy one and get it out of your system once you've got the skill and experience for it..

If you listen to the very good advice not to have one you'll always wonder if you've missed out.

I rode my 04 ZX6RR and an 04 CBR600RR. The CBR is really uncomfortable... but you need to try for yourself.
