2013 kx250f

Hi guys I'm new to this cite and am currently interested in buying the new 2013 kx250f for local racing. the only problem I am facing is that the bike comes with a 13.8 compression piston and we don't have race gas in my country. does anybody know if you can run pump gas in it at sea level? if not would it work just downsizing the piston to a 12.5 - 13.0? any input/ advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

What do you mean by 'race gas'.

I doubt the bike will be safe from detonation on regular (91 RON, 87 PON) but I'll be very surprised if it isn't fine on premium (98 RON, 93 PON) which I'm sure you have.

You can also by an octane boosting fuel additive.

Probably a lot easier than trying to find a low compression piston.

I believe it can run on standard 90 or 91 octane gasoline - what country are you in?

"Race gas" generally means high octane fuel which is used for racing

motocross racing fuel, supercross racing fuel

Thanks for your input Tyler33 I live in Belize, Central America which is at sea level and the highest octane fuel we have is 93.
