Hi, my names Caleb. Just picked up my first ninja, a 94 zx6. Pretty excited about it got it from a guy that laid it over a while back and never did anything with it so I ended up getting it really cheap. I've rebuilt other bikes but never a ninja before so I'm pretty excited to see how it goes. I'd be interested in seeing what you guys think about the bike, doesn't really seam like its going to be too bad of a project. Don't think I mentioned before that the guy lost the key to the bike. So today I pulled of the ignition, gonna go in tomorrow and have a key made for it. Started getting the bike prepped for paint today and ordered in a bunch of parts, too bad it's already winter, really want to ride this haha.

Also I know fiberglass and Bondo aren't as good as new fairings, but I picked the bike up for 350 and until I get some extra money for new cowlings, it'll do

Ya I did, haha made me a little nervous at first but I know where he lives and I do have the title. The bike sat for 3 years, I probably would've lost the key too. (Or just left it in the ignition)

Hah well I guess I need to slow down a bit. Before I knew it I'd spent my whole paycheck on bike parts. I love having a project to work on again, just wish shipping was faster.
Also got my new keys in today, seems to work well, as soon as my stator casing comes in on Monday ill be able to try and get this thing started up.

Hello, and welcome! Nice project! If you want to add a different set of exhaust pipes, the Delkevic pipes are the best sounding I have heard for that bike!

Thanks! Sounds good, ill have to look into them. I don't really know a whole lot about these bikes. I restore old corvairs, and I've a few dirt bikes and a yamaha roadstar 1600 but not one like this. I'd be interested in knowing what people do to these things. So I've read this thing has 6 gears is that right? (Would just check but the shifting bracket broke when the last owner laid the bike down)
