Leave it alone. If it's leaning over far, that will give you a little extra wiggle room if the pavement that it's parked on isn't completely level.

Judging from the picture, it looks fine.

Park with the bike facing up hill and if it's a hot day put somerthing like a small square of ply under the foot of the stand if it's on asphalt. If your 500 has a centre stand it's better to use that.

That's how the PO of my 500 dropped it. Left it on the asphalt on a hot day. Came back and the side kickstand sunk into asphalt and the bike fell over.

small piece of wood sounds like a good idea to me. Anyone else think this way?

They sell plastic pieces to put down on the ground so the stand does not sink into the ground. I have a big heavy cruiser so mine has a magnet on it so I can move the bike and it is stuck to the stand, but I got one for my wife for her 250 Ninja without the magnet and I think it was $3. She just leaves it in her jacket pocket. Motorcycle Gadgets - MG Kickstand Plate

i think i may buy this! it looks like it would work and prevent the bike from sinking. thanks!
