Default Removing decal on tank

Just bought a 2012 ZX 6R and thinking about removing the Ninja decal on the tank. I'm told that the decal is below the clear coat however. Anyone have any advice as to how you can remove the decal that is below the clear coat? Thanks very much.

Some use a razor blade around the edges of the decal to cut through the clear coat, then a hair dryer and a plastic razor blade.

This guy below used a dremel tool with an added dimmer switch to slow it down:

Jesis, the last thing I would do to a new bike would be cutting through the clear
