okay, i bought a zx9r in Illinois. I have the title and it has been signed buy the original owners. There is no date no price. Just when they bought it and when their lien was payed off. i bought this from a different person in Illinois. He hadn't signed it or anything. I brought the bike to Missouri where i live. I heard there is no bike tax in Illinois so could i just fill out the rest of the title and turn it in? its a different state now, and the orignal owners had signed it off.
As long as you have the lien papers stating that the lien is released, you should be okay. They're not going to know that it was sold to someone in between you and the original owner. You will most likely be paying taxes to transfer the title to a Missouri title though.
It say the lien was payed off on the title. and are you sure even if it says the lien was payed back in 2003
