I just upgraded to a ninja 650, when on a highway above 55mph, it feels as though I'm getting air flow and its making my bike wobble like crazy. I know it's normal when passing cars or its windy but it's happening no matter what. It's been freaking me out so I've been staying off the highways, any ideas as to why this is happening??? Is this normal on the 650? I know it's kind of top heavy so not sure if that was a factor.
The bike and tires are brand new. It was lowered about an inch before I had it delivered. But it's literally out of a crate, had zero miles on it my first ride
I have a few other threads going on other forums about the same issue, and all of u are saying stearing head barrings, I'm bringing it to the dealer this afternoon, not taking any chances lol. Also read somewhere this is a common factory problem on this model, lucky me!! Thank you for the replies guys! ! Appreciate it!!
the lowering of the bike could cause that problem, if the rear is lowered but not the front equally
Example
Front Curb Mass =221.7 lbs.
Rear Curb Mass =216.1 lbs.
or
51% of the weight should be on the front,
when lowering, if the front wasn't lowered enough and too much weight is on the rear of the bike, the front will be too light and most likely wobble...
additionally...
the balance of the wheels,
over inflating the tires can cause the front wheel to oscillate from the road bombs,
the steering head bearing being loose,
even with a new tire the balance could be off
I know my 650 had a front that was very light, and wanted to wheelie all the time...
good luck at the dealer
