Hello guys how are you?? New to the kawiforumns and was actually looking for advice. I have an ex250 with a no start issue. Carbs have been rebuilt and we are getting fuel to them. New battery and plugs. Fuses are all good. It will crank but not turn over abd run. It is like it gets to the point right before. Exaust does come out. Scratching my head. I sprayed starting fluid into each cylinder and nothing.
I would start with a visible spark at each removed spark plug, with the plug wire put back on and the plug held against its cylinder head thread top. Put the earlier plugs in loosely with the wires attached, to help prevent spark arcing in the wrong places.
Then check compression now that you have the spark plugs out.
Give it full throttle when trying to start it- dirty carbs usually cause problems at idle and just above idle.
In 2012 I rode my 2008 ZZR600 40 miles before it started to idle at all- it took that long for the carbs to clean themselves after long storage (I got lucky).

This is exactly what I meant about checking the ignition system.
