Looks like I cant make a post in the off-road section yet so i will post here and hope for a bite.
I just recently brought a 1997 kx100, barn find off an old geezer, got it cheap and runs fine, however it;s sump drain hole has been stripped many-a-time I believe, When i got it it had the bolt that is currently in it along with some putty like substance, anyway I removed the bolt to change the oil and the bolt will go back in but wont tighten and spins.
So to my point, Can i re-tap this again or has it gone to far to heli-coil (if i can find one big enough) or do i drop £40 on a new case plus a manual and case splitting tools? I would love any information.
