Sos: 2017 kawi z900 <or> 2017 yammie mt/fz 09

I am confused and perplexed. I belong to a middle class in our society, and I can't afford to commit mistake in buying the wrong bike which to me a very big investment. In our country (i.e., Philippines), the price of 2017 Kawi Z900 is a little bit lower than 2017 Yammie MT09, though the Zed 900 has more power by +/- 10 HP and a smooth linear torque by +/- 10 lb-ft. Zed 900 drastically tweaked in a lesser weight than Zed 800. However, the 2017 MT 09 has edge over Zed 900 as it is now equipped with quickshifter, the standard traction control system, driving mode (STD/A/B) and an adjustable compression on the front fork.

Soooooo, a verifiable input and advises is appreciated.

WHEN STRESSED... I LEAVE IT BEHIND EATING SMOKES & DUSTS

There is not a lot out yet about the new Z900 Kawasaki.

Which has closer parts and labor available? Do you like the extra electronics for the Yamaha? How do they feel sitting on them?- have someone hold the bikes up while you have both feet on the pegs, and preferably get test rides for both if possible.

The video below compares the taller and heavier Versys 1000 and the FJ-09:

ZZR600-2008: Thanks a lot.

But hey, HAHAHA! Kind of more confused now... the video gave me another option, i.e, Kawi Versys. Whews! Nonetheless, great review and comparison by the great guys of Motorcycle.com though the video was uploaded/published Feb. 28, 2015 - so I believe the 4 models compared (Zookie, Honda, Kawi and Yammie) were then of 2015 models.

You are right. A primordial consideration must be taken about how comfortable the bike will be when I ride it. After all, I will be the one using the bike.

I RIDE LIKE THE WIND... INHALE THE GOOD SHIT... EXHALE THE BUlLSHIT.

The Versys 1000 is a tall bike for longer legs, and one reviewer had some problems with the shifting, possibly because it had so few miles on it.

The Versys 1000 is faster and heavier than the FJ-09 and has a better seat and a better windshield- it is probably better for longer trips than the stock FJ-09. The FZ-09 has worse suspension and worse fueling than the FJ-09, for a lower price. I think the 3-cylinder engines sound better and are narrower for better cornering.

Make sure you check insurance costs too, if you will buy insurance.
