Idle adjust screw is all the way turned out. Took the air box off covered my hands over it crank it over it starts and idles at 4000 and doesn't come back down. I put the air box back on and it doesn't start. I took the carbs off cleaned them out gas looked like jelly cleaned every part in the carbs pilot screws jets everything purview the carbs back on and replaced fuel pump now the bike won't start at all just big loud back fires. I also can't sync the carbs till I can get it to run I did a little Bench sync to get me in the ball park to hopefully make it atleast start up so I can vacuum gauge it but it just cranks and backfires but won't start anymore. Oh and also turned the air fuel mixture screws all the way in and about 3 turns out I can't get nothing out of it anymore. What do you guys think it could be?

It sounds like its flooding now. Check your spark. Try starting fluid. Check your petcock for jelly. Rinse the tank. Change your fuel filter.

I had to soak my carb parts for 6 hours in a gallon can of carb cleaner with a basket to do the trick on a 86 fz750 that thing had jelly in the whole fuel system. I had to do it twice because i didnt wait long enough the first time.
