So after an attempt was made to steal my little z300, I had to change the handlebar. The housings have all been installed into the correct position, lined up with the holes but the throttle is sticking and not snapping back? I have changed throttles many times on other ninjas and never had this strange situation. The throttle snaps back fine, but if i push it into the position that the hole needs it to be in, it starts to stick. What the fcuk??? I am using a genuine kawasaki handlebar, and it was a simple swap out from a bent one.... help me please.

Are you adjusting the cables when you do that? Because this sounds a bit like there is a bit of slack in the cable that's getting caught in something when you move it into place.

Just take a look at the engine end of the cable while you're doing it and see what it does when the handlebars are as they should be.

Did you leave the cable routing alone when you did the swap?

If you did, then you shouldn't have seen that cause any trouble.

But, you also shouldn't have trouble with an oem bar and oem controls either.

Glad to hear it's working now.

I would double check the connection in the engine end in case the nut has loosened and make sure the cables don't cause motion in the throttle when the handlebars are moved just in case.
