Hi, i'm from India. We got EFI version of 250R. I'm considering this GP1 exhaust system and have couple of questions:
1. Does installation of the exhaust system require EFI re-map?
2. I read that JUST replacing exhaust is nothing without a power commander, do I really need power commander along with exhaust?
3. Also, i'm confused between slip-on vs full system. Any idea which is ideal? With these mod, I'm looking forward to increase top-end power and growling sound.

I have seen one video on Youtube of this exhaust system, I am thinking about ordering the full system from Jardine and I am not sure just how loud it is going to be.

Does anyone here run the full system? Or do you run the slip-on?

Also, does anyone have any insight as to how loud this? It looks like it is just a straight pipe and I am not sure if the headers have the cats welded in or not.

I love the way it looks but I don't want it to be insanely loud, the Two Brothers is louder than I like but I would deal with it for the looks and the arguable extra protection by having a loud pipe.

I am going to place the order soon, but I don't want to get a headache every time I ride, annoy other riders/cagers, or worse yet...the police.

I love the way the GP1 looks too, but I think it is super loud. Probably one of the loudest exhaust along with hotbodies growler exhaust out there for the 250r.

It sucks the good looking exhaust are the loudest ones.

I have never seen a 250R with this system on it, other than a couple short and crappy videos on Youtube. I am looking into purchasing this system but I would like to hear some more detail about it such as first hand sound quality and sound level.

A full system from Jardine for under $400 is awesome but I fear it is this cheap because it has no muffler and is just a straight pipe. Can anyone confirm this? Also, does it have cats? Any comments on power before vs. after jetting?

ya thats a jardine race pipe, not much baffling there at all. It would be insainly loud and probably get you tickets all the time; cops are really cracking down on motorcycle exhaust.

Maybe I will get the Hotbodies MGP and just jet it myself, rather than paying $100 more for the full system and then $280 to dyno tune it.
