My ninja 250 I use to have ALWAYS got dirt in the carbs no idea how but my guess was this guess we have now a days. So I had a small inline fuel filter installed and never had dirty carbs again I went 2 years with it running good.

Cool. Easy and simple solution to an otherwise bothersome and potentially costly problem.

Update:

I didn't connect the fuel lines correctly before so I thought I'd try to start again. I think I connected all the fuel lines. She starts fine (even without start up fuel)... But now, fuel is running PROFUSELY out of the line that goes out of the carb. It the line that connect from on top of the carb, leads to the left side of the bike, the open ended line.

Everytime you throttle, fuel comes out. yikes!

Update #2:

A jet may be plugged. Let me just disconnect and clean out the carbs. But does this mean i need new jets?

Yip, you don't have ignition/electrical if you don't have the battery. So yes, I did replace and she's at the correct 12.0 V

any thoughts about the gas not going through the carb and going directly to the outlet line?

do i need a rejet?

Update: finally got the carb out. time to clean.
