Default Danmoto Jisu vs Stock vs Baffle

So my Danmoto Jisu & Baffle has arrived. Before installing, I decided to document the installation so anyone else thinking about getting this exhaust could see the differences between the THREE (Stock, Baffle, No Baffle).

After all is said and done, I decided that I don't like the sound signature of the baffle as it's a combination of the Jisu + Stock. With that said, I am keeping the baffle OUT as the Jisu by itself sounds simply amazing.

Please note, this is my YouTube Vlog so before comparing the exhausts, I do talk about the process of installation as well as my views during.

If you would like to skip ahead to the comparison itself, that is located at the 4:17 (4 minute & 17 second) mark.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the vid. I have been tempted with the Jisu for a while, but still on the fence about it, I dont want it to be so loud that ill get annoyed with it, thats what im worried about.

I believe that's one of the big reasons most people are still contemplating purchasing a Danmoto exhaust.

I was actually a little concerned about that as well, so I purchased the baffle with the exhaust. Right now the baffle is a nice paperweight on my desk as I enjoyed the overall sound of the JISU without the baffle in it.

It is noticeably louder, but I would NEVER say it's too loud. I've read that some people use earplugs when riding with the Jisu, but I haven't seen a reason, as it's not THAT loud.

I ride 85 miles (70 on the highway) twice a week (Friday/Sunday) with the RPM ranging from 10-12k during that time. Even at high rev's I haven't been annoyed or anything of the JISU.

The good thing is that the Jisu is really low on the price chart, so if anyone DOES buy it, it won't be too detrimental to their wallet if they don't like it.

FYI, most exhausts, and my DanMoto on my 650r, got louder after being run a little while. They kinda "break in".
I ended up installing the baffle... but it was too quiet... so I drilled a 1/4in hole in the end of it... nice middle ground soundwise.

Thanks for the insight. I CANT STAND the sound of the stock exhaust. And as you say, for the price it wouldnt be a hard pill to swallow if I dont like it.

Now I am more on the BUY IT side of the fence

Great post/video! I first wanted a two brothers or yoshimura but cant get myself to pay ~$400 for a slip on. Like others have said, this would be a good way to get a different sound for a cheap price!

Danmoto exhaust have an amazing sound and look sweet on these bikes! My first danmoto GP carbon exhaust i bought for my Ninja 250 was flawed and melted and burned. The company sent me a new one right away after they had me smash it and send pictures of it to them.
