Default Is there a way to adjust the clutch lever travel?

So my wife has small hands and the clutch lever on her 2011 is kind of a stretch for her. This gives her trouble with fine control in the friction zone. Anyone else run into this problem and/or know a good way to fix it? Seems to me that it would almost take a whole new lever assembly to change the travel distance of the lever while maintaining full clutch cable travel. Help?

You can try aftermarket levers. My 650r had adjustable stock levers too. But you'll have more adjustability with aftermarket ones.

Get some adjustable levers. They're great for adjusting in or out for thicker (winter) or thinner (warm weather) gloves. Also if you're like me and have two motorcycles with different friction zones, you can adjust the levers so that both bikes feel the same. JPR makes some levers that are good and look like Pazzo and CRG's, but they're a bit less expensive. Check their website for pricing, I think they're like $130 or so for a pair shipped to your house. Pazzo and CRG will run you $180. ASV (my favorite) run about $100 per lever, but they also have the most adjustability and, I think, look the nicest. Check out www.motomummy.com for deals on levers, they have a variety of brands, and their shipping is very fast.

Are they pretty much universal? I don't wanna pick the wrong one and end up with fitment problems.

There are adjustable levers available for the 2008- 2012 Ninja 250. For those budget minded individuals there are these; Review: Clutch & Brake Levers from the2wheel Ebay Store & Review: Adjustable/Foldable levers by the2Wheels - ninjette.org

the2wheels eBay website page
Clutch Brake Levers Kawasaki Ninja 250R 2008 2009 2010 | eBay

These levers have been pretty popular and reliable, with the majority of those who got them being very pleased. I believe I was the first one to get them and actually do a review on them. Still have them today. Just ordered another color last week.

When you order them you select which model you have from a drop down menu. Some models are interchangeable, but there are none that are universal.

if you shorten your clutch cable the lever pull will be tighter
