Default gas cap problem
my key to my 250 is bent and wont open the gas cap. i had a replacement key made but that one doesn't work either. what are my options to fix this???

Try jiggling the key back and forth and up and down as you try to turn it.

Post image of bent key.

Take a large screw driver and tap it into the key hole, twist until locking mech is broken and replace with a used gas cap. Or replace with a keyless cap.

its hard to see anything but here are the keys. the key on the left is the original and the key on the right is the duplicate.

Mine's way worse than that and I have no issues with it.

Spray some graphite or teflon lubricant in it and work it through.

The notches on the right side of the duplicate don't look like they are cut correctly. Have them remake it.

If the tank gasket has a good seal, it's pretty hard on the key using them as the sole source for closing the cap while turing the lock. I always use my free hand to apply closing pressure to the cap, and am careful to make sure the cap is seated all the way down before I start to turn the key to lock the cap.
