If you shift into 1st and taking in the clutch allows you to move the bike, then the clutch is in fact engaging, not being able to shift into 2nd, probably means that your bike has a positive neutral finder. I don't have an '05, but my '09 has that and I don't believe that they added it to that generation of bikes.
Anyways, do you smell any gas when you're trying to start it up? If you're cranking it that hard, you should be smelling gas and possibly flooding the engine. If you're not smelling any gas, that's probably an indication that there's something up with the fuel supply. You've already cleaned the carbs, so they shouldn't be the issue, I'd take a look at the fuel pump and possibly the petcock as sources of this problem if you're not smelling any gas. I'd take a look at that, I think it's vacuum actuated, so if there's something wrong with the hose that's preventing the vacuum from developing, the engine isn't going to be getting any fuel.
So my wheel won't turn while in first with clutched pulled in. I did the spark tester test and got no spark from both of my coils so I'm looking to replace the coils.pulled my sparks out durine that and they were wet so I'm getting gas
I assume that when you're taking in the clutch that you feel it and if you look down at the other end of the clutch cable that you can see it moving. If you push the bike a couple miles per hour, it should allow you to shift into 2nd gear without any trouble. If it's still not shifting, that's going to be a bit harder to figure out.
If you're not feeling it or that other end of the clutch cable isn't moving, that's a fairly sure sign that your clutch cable needs replacement. I'm personally, replacing mine next week, I was surprised how quickly it went form OK to more or less useless.
Symptons, bike doesn't catch and won't start
diagnostic, no spark.
Treatment, new battery, new starter relay, new starter, new cdi, new spark plugs, checked ignition coil, checked good. oil change, cleaned carbs.
Patient is a 2005 kawasaki ninja ex250, I need a consult any ideas.
