Default ER-6N New Lowered Seat

Has anyone tried it? If so, how do you like it compared to stock?

You're better off going with a seat mod from the guys at www.greatdaytoride.com. Shaves your stock seat, upgardes the foam, and can add LD gel insert. For less than $100.

The OEM low seat is a great mod for "vertically challenged riders

OEM LOW Seat above and regular OEM seat below:

The LOW Seat is about 30mm (1 1/4 inch) lower and 10mm (~2/5 inch) narrower than the stock seat.

In this picture the OEM LOW Seat is on top and the Regular OEM Seat is at the bottom:

In this picture the OEM LOW Seat is on the Left and the Regular OEM Seat is on the right:

Seat base is identical for both LOW and Regular seats. The OEM low seat comes fully assembled and ready to install. All hardware included:

Ride On!

Good comparison (as usual) Tony. The new lowered seat seems to have less padding. How's it like in terms of comfort?

Sorry, I can't comment on comfort as I've never used it. I've sold several dozen and maybe someone on this forum bought one and can comment on the comfort?
Personally I don't find that more padding = greater comfort.
IMO it's the shape of the seat that matters most.
I had my OEM seat on my Ninja 650R reshaped and removed some foam in the process, but I find the new seat MUCH more comfortable than stock:

Cool vid of the guy making my seat:

I wish I had one to test with. Current seat does tend to slide your butt forward to the tank. How much this is going for Tony? Shipping to Malaysia?

Jame, my brother down under You should just plan a road trip up to Bangkok (and beyond) and you can get the OEM Low Seat CHEAP from Kawasaki, Thailand.

Or I can hook you up with my seat shaper and he can reshape and recover your seat for about 400 Baht or US$14

If you don't want to make the trip then the cheapest place for the Kawasaki OEM Low seat is eBay:
Kawasaki Ninja 650R ER6f ER6n New OEM 30mm LOW Seat

$188.95
Free shipping

I think it retails for something like $300 in the US...
Ride On!

Called a local upholstry shop. They gave me phone number to a guy who lives a few minutes from my house. Dropped off the seat on Thursday, guy calls me on Friday. Seat is done. Looks really good. 50 bucks. Looks more flatter. Less sitting in a 2x4.

Will let you know how comfort is this weekend.

Thanks Tony, I'll need to think about it. Currently having sights on an AGV K-3.
