Just wondering here; I know that many have turned the er6n into a better looking street fighter, but has anyone created a cafe racer out of the 6n?
Looks like lots of work and major parts changes or removals to accomplish, but it's lighter and better handling than a Triumph Thruxton, out of the box. Just wondering if it's worth it, or would a different bike make a better starting platform? dd50 tomp
thanks, I had that set of pics saved already. just wondering if anyone here had done this too...That may be an older euro 6n, as the style of instrumentation isn't like my USA 09.
I did the things you suggested to a Bonny I had, but it never felt right. The 6n feels right stock. Tony's track bike comes close, but with more modern styling than a cafe....dd50 tomp
Love this Pic, even tho it does appear to be pshopped, especially that tail. Anyone know the maker of the exhaust can? Also wonder on the overflow bottle, pshopped out or relocated?
Probably just PSed out but easy to relocate. Wouldn't be that difficult. New tail/subframe, a round headlight , and pull all the other crap off, and your pretty much there.
This was a 2006 ER6n which I converted to a café racer. Just to tell you that it is possible to convert an ER6n to a café racer. All you require is some imagination and some courage at first till you start using the grinder. Quite a lot of sleepless nights on the internet ordering parts and around two hundred and fifty hours of solid work on the bike. This was the result I was hoping for.
