Which clip-ons have you installed?

Interested in any clearance issues... how low and how angled have you been able to get 'em?

Earlier years need not apply since the bodywork is all different now.

Yes, but not my bike. It's a show bike here in Bangkok and it looks stunning and i can assure you that the clip-ons make no contact, but it has been lowered a fair to allow the clip-ons to clear the fairing

Love to know who made those sliders, can't find squat for a 12 here. Though electrically the rlink 2011 adapter works fine! I'm wondering what other 11 items will fit too

I've seen all these parts at various shops in and around Bangkok. I would expect parts to start hitting your shore in a few more months

Believe someone has stated it before but those are 1st generation SV650s clip ons and the front is lowered it looks like 1.25" or so to accomodate them. The clip width appears to be ~3/4" and the one picture shows a ~spacer (?) that looks ~1/2" so ya...


Thanks for all the pictures!!! Between this, Clip on theory thread (page 9 has pictures) and another thread with a 2011 650r sporting some 2nd generation SV650 clips we have some really good information to work with!


That being said, I have a 2012 and working on getting some OEM SV650 clip ons to fit on...I searched around a good bit to find all this information so just trying to condense it for others interested as well.

FWIW I bought 2003 SV650 clips and had them on for the past 2 weeks until I switched back to stock this morning. Reason being is unfortunately with full fairings this bike is not intended to have clip ons installed. I had to push/raise the forks ~1.5" just to fit them and then at that point your drastically decrease stability as well as trail. Bike looked awesome, loved the position and never really gave me any complaints...I just did NOT feel comfortable riding aggressive with the geometry changed as much as it had to be to fit the clip ons.


Cliff Notes: IDK if I recommend Clip Ons above the tree that require the ~1.5" lowered and thusly would caution those attempting it. Looks FANTASTIC, rides fine...not confident in the changes to ride more aggressively.

Hope my feedback helps any looking for opinions and I feel that Sportbars may be about the best solution as of yet for those yearning for that 'clip on' appeal. On the other hand, I've only used stock and SV clips so IDK about the in-between area. Another option would be a streetfighter/naked (ER6n) approach and IDK even yet I'd still want the clips below the triple tree. CBRF4i has them above; however, they were designed to be above...then ninja was designed to have bars lol

How much are these? Can they be purchased by those of us in the U.S. ?

I've been looking for a new rearset, and only found the $650 SATO set.
