My custom 650r.

Some pics of my almost finished project.

This is 2009 650r, I bought the race uppers and did the 636 headlight cutout, currently installing rx-2n gp style Koso gauge.
It has two brothers exhaust with a two brothers fuel controller pro, also did the common airbox mod.
Custom rearsets. Uhm I made my own seat that's velco'd on. The rest I think it obvious.

Well what do you guys think so far? I also painted it myself, first time ever lol.

Unpainted, had mounted up to tape up.

Freshly painted.

Right side

Left side

Yes, I didnt have the headlights wired in the picture yet. And for my tail light I am using one of thos LED ones I found on ebay I believe.
I am also currently having the side panels (i have cut them to fit) wrapped with carbon fiber vinyl stuff.

Let me know if you guys want more pictures during the project.

Wow! I would've never guessed that ur bike was a 650R if I ever saw it on the streets. Looks like a true supersport! My only complaint is that the upper engine (b/w gas tank and fairings) is exposed. But the overall package came out awesome!

Yeah the only reason its exposed in the pic is because like I stated in my post, that fairing that covers it up is getting carbon vinyl wrapped. Oh and the rear tire hugger is being wrapped as well.

Thank you so much, great to hear some input on it!
Not going to lie when I started this project I had no idea what I was getting into. But its finally feels like its all been worth it.

What mount did you use for the headlights and gauge. Did you make it yourself?

Ive heard that the Vortex / 2002 R1 mounts can be used

Any input is greatly appreciated

Well Idk if your familiar with gary at blueridgeperformance?
Well what I did was I used the fairing bracket that he sold me. It's located here, Blue Ridge Performance - Ninja 650R Parts & Service

Well unlike the picture of it when u get it where the gauge goes its flat. so what i did is bent this metal strip I bought and just 2 screws and nuts on each and screwed it to the flat part of the bracket.
Heres a pic of the headlight bracket.

Yeah its pretty simple. that fits exactly under the fairing bracket.
Took about 10-20 mins to make it and fit it.
paid I think 10$ for the metal strip, I also did this in other places to hold the body, my 650r is 2009 so everything had to be customized, you prolly know what im talking about.

Oh and i talked to gary about the vortex before I bought everything and with the vortex he said you have to make alot of adjustments, I don't weld so i didnt even want to try it lol.
I consider myself an average 20 year old and accomplished all of this all on my own.
If you want my number/email pm me.
I live in Florida btw
